The beginnings of the “The Magic of the Place” building, house no.10 in Pístov. The house was gradually sensitively modified and repaired between 2013 – 2018. It is located in a magical place within the Slavkovský les Protected Landscape Area with a beautiful view of the landscape with the fishpond Regent, a combination of meadows and forests, so this is also how it got the name “The Magic of the Place”. From the building the view of the distant horizon extends all the way to the border with Germany. Untouched nature and beautiful landscape surround this magical place. All the windows of the pension have their own picturesque views, so our guests can stay in touch with nature from indoors.
Are you interested in some more information about Pístov itself? The former parish village with more than 62 houses now numbers only 8. In the heart of the village you can see the Church of St. Bartholomew, built according to Dientzenthofer’s plans. Every August, on the feast of St. Bartholomew, a bilingual Holy Mass (Czech and German) is held here. Visitors choose the “The Magic of the Place” mainly because they are not disturbed by civilization nor a large number of local residents.
